Ho Chi Minh City, December 8, 2025 - AgriS (Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company, HOSE: SBT) and Loc Troi Group officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop Vietnam’s rice value chain in a sustainable, modern, and globally integrated direction.

Vietnam’s Rice Industry: Enormous Potential, Yet in Need of a New Breakthrough
According to AgroMonitor 2024, Vietnam currently cultivates 7.13 million hectares of rice, producing 43.5 million tons of paddy, equivalent to 23 million tons of milled rice. The Mekong Delta remains the country’s agricultural powerhouse, contributing the majority of rice exports that keep Vietnam among the top three rice exporters worldwide.
Despite its scale and potential, the industry now faces a new phase defined by growing demands for transparency, quality assurance, low-emission production, and greater value creation.
AgriS – Loc Troi Partnership: Opening New Opportunities for Vietnamese Rice
The partnership between AgriS and Loc Troi is expected to open a new chapter of growth for Vietnam’s rice industry. The collaboration focuses on building a comprehensive and sustainable rice value chain that closely connects the “Five Stakeholders” - Farmers, Scientists, Enterprises, Government, and Financial Institutions.
Through this model, the two companies aim to establish an integrated ecosystem that enhances farmers’ livelihoods and elevates the global position of Vietnamese rice. Leveraging AgriS’s strengths in technology, management, and international trade networks, the partnership will support Loc Troi in expanding its proven expertise in sustainable rice production and long-standing relationships with farmers - together unlocking new markets and opportunities for Vietnam’s rice sector.
Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My, Chairlady of AgriS, shared: AgriS remains steadfast in pursuing the Circular Commercial Value Chain model, focusing on comprehensive and sustainable development across its core value chains - sugarcane, coconut, banana, and especially rice. With a vision that transcends the boundaries of traditional production and trade, AgriS is committed to building an Integrated Smart Agricultural Ecosystem, where advanced technology and modern management form the foundation of sustainable growth. This collaboration aims to achieve key objectives: improving farmers’ livelihoods, developing value-added products, and building a sustainable ecosystem.

Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My, Chairlady of AgriS, delivered a speech regarding AgriS’s circular agricultural ecosystem.
Mr. Huynh Van Thon, Chairman of Loc Troi Group, stated that the signing of the strategic partnership between AgriS and Loc Troi marks an important milestone in the journey to enhance the value of Vietnamese rice. Loc Troi believes that the synergy between the two leading agricultural corporations will enable the development of standardized raw material zones, the commercialization of high-quality rice varieties, the establishment of a comprehensive support ecosystem for farmers, and the promotion of value-added rice products. This collaboration is not merely a business partnership but a shared commitment to advancing Vietnam’s rice industry toward greater sustainability, higher value creation, and a stronger global position on the world agricultural map.

Mr. Huynh Van Thon, Chairman of Loc Troi Group, shared his vision and expectations for the partnership from Loc Troi's perspective.
Four Key Pillars of the AgriS – Loc Troi Collaboration
AgriS continues to strengthen the integration of its three strategic pillars — AgTech, FoodTech, and FinTech — on the ESG foundation, shaping an integrated agricultural ecosystem where technology and sustainability are the core drivers. With 77,740 hectares of raw material zones across Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Australia, AgriS manages nearly 240 product lines spanning sugar, coconut, banana, rice, and other crops. The company serves almost 2,000 B2B clients and over 300 B2C partners, exporting to 76 international markets. This provides AgriS with a comprehensive foundation from production to trade, positioning it firmly for long-term participation in the rice sector.
With over 32 years of development, Loc Troi has built a sustainable agricultural ecosystem featuring a closed value chain — from research, seed supply, and agricultural inputs to mechanization, processing, and high-quality rice trading. It is also one of 17 Vietnamese enterprises authorized to export rice to China, while its “Hat Ngoc Troi” rice brand has been honored as a National Brand for five consecutive terms (2016–2024), reaffirming its leadership in Vietnam’s agricultural services sector.

Four Key Pillars of the AgriS – Loc Troi Collaboration
1. Developing Sustainable and Internationally Certified Raw Material Zones
Both companies will collaborate to develop sustainable farming zones by applying biological and organic cultivation methods, digital solutions, and standardized quality management systems. The goal is to build a rice value chain that meets international standards, reduces emissions, and aligns with sustainable development goals, contributing to Vietnam’s One Million Hectares of High-Quality Rice initiative.
2. Expanding Trade in Premium Rice Varieties
The partnership will focus on commercializing premium, specialty, and nutritional rice varieties owned by Loc Troi through AgriS’s extensive export network across 76 markets and 120,000 distribution points. Leveraging its global trade channels, AgriS aims to bring Vietnam’s high-quality rice to demanding markets traditionally dominated by Thai rice, thereby strengthening Vietnam’s presence on the global rice map.
3. Building a Complete Ecosystem for Farmers
The two sides aim to create a comprehensive ecosystem that supports rice farmers through access to standardized agricultural inputs; capital and financial services following the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) model; farming technology and digital transformation solutions; sustainable technical training; and stable purchasing and market outlets - thereby completing the journey of Vietnamese rice “from field to table.”
4. Developing High-Value Processed Products
AgriS and Loc Troi will jointly invest in developing premium product categories such as nutritional and functional rice, as well as derivatives like rice bran, rice protein, and food-tech applications. These initiatives are designed to enhance the economic value of rice and strengthen the long-term competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products.
The signing of this strategic partnership between AgriS and Loc Troi marks a significant milestone in the roadmap to elevate Vietnam’s rice industry. By combining technology, quality management, international trade experience, and sustainable development principles, the partnership is poised to accelerate Vietnam’s growth, contribute to global food security, and reinforce the position of Vietnamese rice on the world stage.
